At the pointy end of the AFL Men’s season the AFL match officials were well represented by our participants in the 2026 AFL Grand Final.
Congratulations to interchange stewards Adrian Barlow (7th grand final) and Stephanie Aiello (first).
Timekeepers for the grand final were Andrew Miller in his third grand final and Chris Howarth-Crewdson appearing in his second.
A fantastic job by all concerned. Congratulations all round.
What a preliminary final it was at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 18 September.
Truly fitting that it was a great match for the 300th appearance of Andrew Miller as timekeeper.

The milestone man has done it again!
Congratulations to timekeeper Don Stock who was appointed to the 2026 AFL Second Qualifying Final Sydney v. Geelong at the S.C.G. thus completing 650 AFL matches. Don’s passion for the game is evident and 700 is not that far away. Congratulations Don.
Another 200th match milestone in the west was reached in Round 21 when Aaron Morse timekept the Fremantle v. Western Bulldogs match on 31 July.

St.Kilda v. Port Adelaide at Docklands on Saturday 11 July was the 150th AFL match for Interchange Steward Carli Harris.

Anzac Day Round saw the debut of interchange steward Lynette Genders in the Hawthorn v. Gold Coast match in Launceston. Many congratulations Lynette and all the best for a long future.
Gather Round was a big weekend for two of our timekeepers. Chris Doyle’s first match was his 100th AFL match – North Melbourne v. Brisbane in the beautiful Barossa. On the same day Peter Honeyman timekept his second match of the round to also bring up his 100th AFL match in that role – Hawthorn v. Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.
Adding in his 49 AFL matches as goal umpire, the Round 6 match Adelaide v. St.Kilda was Peter’s 150th combined appointment

This week it is well done to timekeeper Michael Sexton who brought up the triple-ton when he was on the clock (and the siren) for the Western Bulldogs v. Essendon clash at Docklands.
